Frikkie Befrikte Vinnige Aandetes

Its been a while since we posted one of these. This recipe is very easy and quick to make. Get all the ingredients ready, assemble it, bake it and dinner is ready! You need 4 main ingredients, 4 easy steps and that's that. Winner Winner Pasta for Dinner!!!!
How to make it:
- Preheat the oven to 200'C.
- Place half of the prepared mince into the bottom of a ovenproof dish.
- Fill the pasta shells with the creamed spinach and place it ontop of the mince in the dish.
- Cover with the rest of the mince.
- Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top of the mince.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-45 minutes. 
- Serve and enjoy!

Frikkie Freezing Friday Icy Ice Cream Madness

Ice cream you scream we all scream its Friday! Yes. We know its getting chillier by the day... BUT!!! Once you taste this, you'll forget about the cold and concentrate on the AWESOMNESS!!!! BOOM!!!!!

What you need:
  • 4 Teaspoons Instant Coffee
  • 3 Tablespoons Brandy/Port or any form of hard liquor
  • 1 x 385g Can Condensed Milk
  • 4 Egg Whites
  • a Pinch of Salt
  • 500ml Cream
  • 1 Teaspoon Vanilla Essence
  • 1/2 Cup Pecan Nuts, roasted and chopped (and some extra for garnishing)
How to make it:
- Mix the instant coffee powder with the brandy/port in a mixing bowl.
- Add the can of condensed milk and mix well.
- In a separate bowl mix the egg whites and salt with an electric mixer until stiff.
- Fold the egg white mixture into the coffee/condensed milk mixture.
- In a separate bowl mix the cream and vanilla essence until stiff.
- Fold the cream mixture into the coffee/egg white mixture.
- In the mean time roast and chop the pecan nuts.
- Lastly fold the chopped pecan nuts into the rest of the mixture.
- Place in a bowl and Freeze for about 3 hours or until set (or overnight if you can hold out that long!)

  - You can sprinkle with some chopped pecan nuts just before serving.

Smash that in your face!!!

Beef Stroganoff 
So seeing as though WINTER IS COMING (no relation to Game of Thrones), here's one of them "comfort food" recipes!! The classic Beef Stroganoff... Soooo tasty and suuuuper easy!! Give it a try or just settle for some boring old soup... You choose!! Enjoy smashing this in your beak!!! BOOM!!

What you need:
  • 500g Beef Strips
  • 1 Can Chopped Mushrooms
  • 1 Onion Chopped
  • 25g Tomato puree
  • 1 Beef stock cube
  • 1½ Cups boiling water
  • 250g Sour Cream
  • 2 Tablespoons Port or Sherrie
  • Salt and Pepper to taste 
-First fry the chopped onion a little bit, then add the meat and fry until browned.
-Add the mushrooms and the tomato puree and mix well.
-Mix the beef stock cube box with boiling water and add it to the pan.
-Salt and pepper to taste.

-Cook for about 30 minutes or until meat is cooked and tender.(you can add a little wine to help soften the meat.)
-Add the sour cream and sherry or port just before serving and mix well.
-Serve with rice or pasta and vegetables.

Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie Bars

WHAT YOU NEED:
  • 2⅛ Cups Flour  
  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ½ Teaspoon Baking Soda 
  • 125g Butter, melted and cooled slightly
  • 1 ½ Cups Sugar
  • 1  Large Egg
  • 1 Egg Yolk
  • 2 Teaspoons Vanilla Essence
  • 200g Milk Chocolate
  • 100g Smarties (optional)
HOW TO MAKE IT:

- Preheat the oven to 180'C. Grease a baking pan, place a baking sheet over and grease that as well.
- Mix all the dry ingredients together in a medium sized mixing bowl. The flour, salt and baking soda.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the melted butter and the sugar until combined. Add the egg, egg yolk and the vanilla and mix well.
- Fold the dry ingredients into the egg mixture until combined.
- Chop the milk chocolate into pieces to create your own chocolate chips or alternatively use two cups of chocolate chips.
- Fold in the chocolate chips until combined. Add the Smarties and do the same.
- Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking pan.
- Smooth the top of the mixture with the back of a spoon.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes or until the top is a light golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and leave to cool for 10-15 minutes.
- Lift out the baking paper and transfer it to a cutting board.
- Cut into squares and smash them in your FACE!!! YUMMO!

 Tannie Epic's Epic Mince Bake
This is a quick, SUUUPER easy and very tasty recipe, perfect for a bit of comfort food with this cloudy weather we have been having. You don't have to follow the mince recipe perfectly, if you have your own way of making  mince, then use it or if you don't have the specific ingredients you can put in whatever you think will work, but for the pasta bit, use the recipe below.  
What you need:

For the Mince:
  •  500g Mince
  • 1 Onion, Chopped
  • 1 Can Chopped Tomatoes
  • ½ Packet Brown Onion soup
  • ½ Tablespoon Vegetable Stock powder
  • 1 Tablespoon Italian Herbs
  • A few Squirts Worcestershire Sauce
  • A Whole lot of Chutney
  • A Swing of White Wine
  • A Dollop of Tomato Sauce
  • Salt and Pepper to taste
For the pasta:
  • 250g Macaroni or Squiggly Pasta
  • 1 Cup grated Cheese, and a bit extra for topping.
  • 250ml Evaporated Milk
  • 2 Eggs
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

How to make it:

- Preheat the oven to 220'C and grease a ovenproof dish.
- Start with the mince, fry the onion in a little bit of olive oil.
- Add the mince and fry till brown.
- Add the can chopped tomatoes and brown onion soup and mix well.
- Add all the rest of the ingredients one at a time.
- Simmer for 10 minutes while you make the pasta.
- Make the pasta as per packet instructions.
- While the pasta is cooking, mix the cheese, evaporated milk and the eggs in a large mixing bowl.
- When the pasta is cooked, drain the water and add to the evaporated milk mixture, salt and pepper to taste.
- Now for the assembling: spoon the mince into the greased dish.
- Pour the pasta mixture over, top with a little extra grated cheese.
- Place uncovered into the oven and bake for 10-15 minutes or until pasta mixture has set.
- And there you have it, dinner on the table before the clock strikes 7! BOOM!!

Een-Dis-Maalvleis


  


Wat jy nodig het:
  • 500g gemaalde beesvleis
  • 250ml koue water
  • sout en peper na smaak
  • 150ml blatjang of meer na smaak
  • 250ml rou rys
  • 1 blikkie minstronesop of groente sop
  • 1 blikkie geroomde sampioene 
  • 500ml kookwater    





Gereed in 8 maklike stappe
  1. Verhit die oond tot 180'C.
  2. Smeer 'n oondvaste bak.
  3. Kap 'n ui en braai in 'n ​​pan met 'n bietjie olyfolie.
  4. Meng die maalveis, koue water, sout en peper  by die ui en kook dit vinnig sonder 'n deksel totdat al die vleoistof afgekook het.

    Here is a recipe of LOVE to make for your loved one tomorrow morning for a sexy brekie in BED!
    Lovers Breakfast
    (Heart Shaped Bacon With Crumpets and Hart Shaped Egg topped with Honey and served with fresh Strawberries) 
     What you need:

    - 1 Packet streaky Bacon

    - For the Crumpets:
    1 Cup Flour
    1 Egg
    2 Tablespoons Sugar
    1/2 Tablespoon Butter, melted
    2 Teaspoons Baking powder
    1/2 Teaspoon Salt
    1 Cup Milk

    - 2 Eggs.

    - A few fresh Strawberries.

    - Honey or syrup to taste.


    - Heart shaped cookie cutter.
    How to make it:


    To make the bacon hearts:
    - Preheat the oven to 200'C.
    - Cut the bacon strips in half and shape into a heart, thats right!! A heart!!! Shape them on a greased baking pan.
    - Place in the preheated oven for 10-15 minutes.

    To make the Crumpets:
    - Mix the egg and sugar together in a large mixing bowl.
    - Add 1/2 cup of milk and the butter.
    -Mix in the flour, baking powder and salt.
    - Add the rest of the milk and mix until well combined.
    - Preheat a greased pan to a medium heat on the stove.
    - When the pan is preheated add tablespoons of the crumpet mixture to the pan.
    - first bake the one side, when air bubbles form on top the crumpet is ready to be turned over. bake until the crumpet is a nice shade of brown.

    To make the eggs:
    - Fry the eggs in a greased preheated pan, don't worry is the yellow of the egg is broken, you are going to cut a heart shape out of it when its done.
    - When the egg is done use the cookie cutter to cut out a heart shape in the egg, don't discard the extra egg, that will be used in the tower of yummyness.

    Assembly of the love meal:
    - Put 1 crumpet in a plate and butter it if you prefer that.
    - top with the extra bits of egg left over after the heart is cut out. Salt and pepper to taste.
    - Top with another crumpet and butter is you prefer.
    - Top with the heart shaped egg and salt and pepper to taste.
    - Then add the heart shaped bacon to the top of the tower.
    - Put the fresh strawberries around the edge of the plate.
    - Lastly drizzle with honey or syrup!
    - Serve on a plate or if your willing (just putting this out there) serve it on your STOMACH!!! BOOM!!!
    This is sure to get you MILLION of brownie points, and might even get you a little kiss on the cheek!;) Either way, make sure you do your best to IMPRESS tomorrow... You wont be sorry!!!
