Here at Frikkie Awesome we have some cool and exciting things happening!

This weekend it’s the Celebrate Food & Wine show in the 012. It looks like it’s going to be a very cool event if you are interested in either food or wine or both. The event is on from today until Sunday at Afrikaanse Hoër Meisieskool Pretoria, Bond Street, Clydesdale

What to expect:

Friday 2 September 2011 15h00-22h00

Experience and taste a variety of food, cheese and wine at a range of stalls and meet winemakers from boutique wine cellars. Esteemed wine critic Emile Joubert leads a discussion with winemakers during the evening.

Saturday 3 September 10h00-20h00

Enjoy a day filled with cooking demonstrations presented by food editors from SARIE and SARIE KOS, as well as celebrated chefs such as Jody-Ann Pearton, a four-times-elected Sunday Times Chef of the year.

Sunday 4 September 2011 11h00-18h00

Conclude a delightful weekend by listening to a classical music concert delivered on the lawns while enjoying food and wine bought from the exhibitors.

• Adults on Friday or Saturday: R100

• Children: R60
• Weekend entry for adults: R180
• Weekend entry for pensioners: R100
• Weekend entry for children: R80
• Sunday entry only: R80

Definitely some serious knitting, baking and chilling with cool drinks.

Frikkie goes to Colesberg.. Yep, you read right, Frikkie Awesome is heading to Colesberg for one weekend only, we know, it’s far... But it’s going to be Frikkie Awesome!! Reason we going is to support the duo of Xander Van Der Merwe and Jasmyn Pretorius on their photographic trip of epic-awesomeness!! Why are we going along.... Cause we can!!
